A new survey has revealed the top 10 foods at risk of becoming extinct in the UK due to Gen Z’s refusal to consume them. Topping the list is liver, which over a third (35%) of Gen Z respondents said they would avoid. Other foods facing potential extinction include blue cheese (32% refusal rate), anchovies (30%), black pudding (29%), and shrimp (26%). Significant portions of Gen Z also expressed aversion to duck (25%), tofu, mushrooms, and olives (23% each), as well as plant-based cheese (21%). The survey of 2,000 British adults found that six in 10 claim to dislike foods before trying them, highlighting a key barrier to expanding food horizons. (Daily Mail)
