A recent survey of 2,000 Americans by Talker Research revealed that individuals who travel more frequently tend to have better mental health. The study found that the average American feels 67% better mentally after taking a trip. Respondents with excellent mental health were more likely to be passionate about travel, taking an average of 3.3 trips annually. In contrast, those with poor mental health only traveled about 1.5 times per year on average. The survey also showed that individuals with excellent mental health have traveled internationally more frequently compared to those with fair, poor, or very poor mental health. Travel was highlighted as a way to gain perspective and reduce stress by anxiety and trauma coach Benjy Sherer. (Talkerresearch)
