A study led by Hoi-Lam Jim from the University of Veterinary Medicine Vienna tested 40 pet dogs aged 1-12 years to determine if they could judge human character based on generosity. Dogs were exposed to scenarios where humans were either generous or selfish with food. Surprisingly, dogs showed no significant preference for generous humans over selfish ones, regardless of age or experience. Only 3 out of 40 dogs demonstrated a preference, with choices appearing random. The study suggests that dogs may not engage in complex moral judgments as previously believed. (Studyfinds)
