After taking a break to embark on her successful worldwide Celebration Tour, Madonna has shared that she is back working on a script for her forthcoming biopic. The Material Girl also revealed that the title of the film is going to be, Who’s That Girl, and will star Julia Garner in the lead role. Madonna shared an Instagram video on Tuesday that shows her hard at work in front of an old-school typewriter with the title page of her script visible at one point, which disclosed the Who’s That Girl working title. She captioned the post, “I Need A-lot of Bandz to make this………..OKAY 🍸💵🤑. (Story of my life)”
The name of the biopic is a clear nod to both Madonna’s 1987 comedy film, Who’s That Girl, which was directed by James Foley, along with her Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hit single and soundtrack of the same name.
