Last week, Lainey Wilson released her latest single, “4x4xU.” The music video for Wilson’s new song continues the narrative from her last video for “Hang Tight Honey,” as that clip celebrates performing and life on the road, while “4x4xU” examines life at home once the tour is over. Now Wilson has revealed that “4x4xU” was inspired by her blossoming relationship with former NFL quarterback Duck Hodges.
“I’m so excited for everyone to finally have their hands on ‘4x4xU,’” Wilson shared in a recent press release. “This song is about finding that someone that gives you the comfort and peace of home anywhere in the world as long as you’re by their side.” At a recent show, Wilson got even more personal with her audience. “The truth is, I write what I know, and I finally found a man worth writing about. So you know it’s a love song because y’all probably thought, dang, she ain’t got it in her… but I do. I got me a cheerleader.” (All Country News)
