The Holmen Vikings (4-0 conference, 6-0 overall) are on the road for a second straight week to take on the Thunderbirds of Baraboo HS (0-4 conference, 0-6 overall).
Holmen is off to its best start in a dozen years (the 2013 edition of the Vikings went 11-1 with their only loss coming in level 3 of the WIAA playoffs). The 2025 version of the Vikings continues it’s winning ways with a group effort in the backfield (1707 yds rushing, 8.2 yds/carry, & 26 TD’s) with a little bit of an aerial attack sprinkled in just for good measure (425 yds rec., 23.6 yds/catch, & 5 TD’s). The Defense has been equally impressive over the first six games allowing opponents an average of just 11 points and 226 total yards of offense per game.
The Thunderbirds are a clear underdog in this David vs Goliath matchup and would love nothing more than to play spoiler to the Vikings quest for an unblemished regular season. Baraboo’s offense is led by SR quarterback Peyton Poker (170 yds passing), JR running back Ethan Huelsemann (519 yds rushing), and Junior wide receiver Rashad Hodges (119 yds receiving).
Streams starts at 6:45 pm and kick-off is at 7 pm.
