A study by researchers at Uppsala University in Sweden found that women giving birth at 45 and older face higher risks of stillbirth, low blood sugar levels in babies, and premature birth. Analyzing over 312,000 births, the study showed that each additional year of maternal age increases the likelihood of complications. Mothers over 45 were also more likely to have health issues like diabetes and high blood pressure, and to have used fertility treatments. The study emphasizes the importance of informed decision-making and comprehensive prenatal care for women considering pregnancy later in life. (Studyfinds)
