Study Finds Women Prefer More Feminine Faces Over Masculine Features

A recent study with over 1,500 participants from Japan and the UK revealed a general preference for more feminine facial features in both men and women. Lead researcher Dr. Thora Bjornsdottir from the University of Stirling stated that despite previous beliefs, the study did not find a preference for masculinity in men’s faces. Participants across genders, sexualities, and ethnicities showed a consistent preference for more feminine features, with only the degree of preference varying between groups. The research also highlighted cultural impacts on preferences, with Japanese participants showing a stronger preference for feminine faces than their British counterparts.
