Keith Urban Reveals That He And Wife Nicole Kidman Struggle With Grief Over Her Mom’s Death

Following his performance on The Today Show on Wednesday (October 30), Keith Urban took time to personally thank his fans for their continuing support following the death of his wife Nicole Kidman’s mother, Janelle Ann Kidman, in September. Urban performed a trio of songs during the show, “Chuck Taylors,” “Messed Up as Me,” and “Somewhere in My Car,” and the country star also had a brief chat with host Hoda Kotb. “I know you were supposed to be on our plaza awhile ago and then you had an unfortunate death, Nicole’s mom passed away,” Kotb said. “We just want to send our condolences and also, how is she and how are you guys doing?” “Thank you very much and thanks for having us back. We really appreciate that,” Urban said. “It’s up and down; it comes in waves. But the outpouring’s been amazing. So thank you everyone for that. We really appreciate it.” (People)
