‘Pride & Prejudice’ Series In Development At Netflix From Dolly Alderton

Netflix is developing a series based on Jane Austen’s Pride & Prejudice, with Dolly Alderton, author of Everything I Know About Love, writing the scripts. While no cast is confirmed and the project is pending approval, Netflix has shown its Austen adaptations with the 2022 movie Persuasion. Pride & Prejudice portrays Elizabeth Bennet’s journey with love with the dashing Mr. Darcy. Alderton, known for her memoir and its successful series adaptation, will bring a fresh perspective to this classic tale. In a week filled with Austen news, the BBC also announced a spinoff series called The Other Bennet Sister, focusing on Elizabeth’s sibling Mary. (Variety)
