Henry Cavill To Star In Live-Action ‘Voltron’ Film For Amazon MGM

Henry Cavill will star in Amazon MGM Studios’ live-action Voltron film, directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber (Red Notice, Skyscraper). While plot details are being kept confidential, the Voltron TV franchise revolved around a team of space explorers who control a massive super robot. Originating from Japanese anime, this franchise has also inspired Netflix’s Voltron: Legendary Defender. Cavill’s recent film credits include a cameo in Deadpool and Wolverine, as well as the spy comedy Argylle and Guy Ritchie’s The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare. His upcoming projects include the Highlander reboot and Ritchie’s action-adventure film In The Grey. (Variety)
