The Park Fire in northern California has grown to 373,357 acres, becoming the state’s sixth-largest wildfire. It is 12% contained and covers an area larger than the city of Los Angeles. The fire started when a burning car was pushed into a gully. Aircraft and thousands of personnel and resources are being used to monitor and control the fire. (UPI)
President Joe Biden proposed reforms to the Supreme Court on Monday that rein in both the presidency and the high court’s powers. Biden’s sweeping changes include restrictions on presidential immunity, term limits for Supreme Court justices, and the enforcement of a “binding” code of ethics to address conflicts of interest in the court. South Pasadena, California, becomes the first city in the U.S. to replace all police patrol cars with 20 new Teslas, aiming to reduce emissions and promote public health.
