Seether has announced the upcoming release of their ninth studio album, The Surface Seems So Far, which is due out on September 20th. The South African rock band also shared the record’s lead single “Judas Mind.” In addition to the new music on the way, Seether also just announced their plans for a month-long co-headlining tour with Memphis rock band Skillet, which gets going on September 17th in Asheville, North Carolina, and finishes up on October 20th in Minneapolis. Seether are also set to play high profile rock festivals Louder Than Life and Aftershock this fall.
Seether frontman Shaun Morgan had this to say about the album’s lead single: “‘Judas Mind’ is a song about reaching an understanding that there are bad actors in our lives that are trying to force an outcome for us that we don’t see as our destiny. It’s about rising up against people who have a vision for you that you don’t share.” (Consequence of Sound)
