Kelsea Ballerini reached a settlement that ended her lawsuit against a fan that the country star had accused of leaking her unreleased album. Ballerini agreed to drop the case only after the supposed hacker promised to never share the materials ever again. Ballerini had initially sued Bo Ewing back in April, making an accusation that he hacked her unfinished album and shared it with an online fan club. The singer alleged that Ewing found illegal access to her unfinished songs that were still in production at the time. Ewing’s lawyers said their client promised to stop sharing her songs and to name any people he sent the songs to.
In Monday’s court filing signed by both sides, Ewing agreed to a permanent ban from ever leaking Ballerini’s songs again. “Defendant is enjoined further accessing any of the recordings that are the subject of this litigation and which defendant has affirmatively declared are no longer in his possession,” the two sides wrote in a joint filing.
