Luke Combs has made it clear both in his music and the way he lives his life that being a father is of the utmost importance to him. Those parental sentiments are perfectly expressed in Comb’s new album, Fathers & Sons. But the country star has just shared that he had to miss the birth of his second son, Beau, back in August because he was on tour overseas in Australia at the time. During a new interview with Zane Lowe, Comb’s reveals that Beau being born was, “One of the best and one of the worst days in my life at the same time — interestingly enough — and it’s so hard to wrap my mind around it. He was two and a half weeks early and I was supposed to be home and I wasn’t. It was a hard day. Luckily, my mother-in-law came up for the month while I was gone, because we have a 1-year-old and my wife is essentially nine months pregnant at the time, so thank goodness she was there.” (Audacy)
